BBO is located 3 miles south of Kent, OH (home of Kent State University), and just 10 miles east of Akron. Cleveland is a mere 45 min drive North, and The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is just 30 minutes away. The area has an active nightlife, restaurants, recreation and local food culture.

PANTRY & PIZZA & PASTRY BAKER
We have created a new position at Brimfield Bread Oven. We are looking for someone with knife skills and who enjoys working independently (but can still work great with a team, duh). They will be responsible for a fun/active mix of things at the bakery. The approximate weekly schedule for this position will be Wednesday 11am-7pm, Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday 11am-9:30pm and Saturday 12pm-10pm. We can add an additional day to make it full time if you’re interested.
Job responsibilities include: preparing and performing the afternoon pastry bake, pizza night preparation, soup and sandwich preparation (something new we are working on!), working pizza nights (Fridays and Saturdays 4:30-9pm), and other shared tasks with the bakery team. A positive attitude, excellent attendance, and kitchen experience is a must and ServSafe is preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Able to perform physical work for extended periods of time.
Able to stand or walk for long periods (5+ hours) without a break.
Able to lift and move up to 10lbs constantly, 30lbs frequently, and 50lbs occasionally.
Able to work in varied weather conditions (at events) and extreme heat environments (if near the oven).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to maintain courteous and helpful behavior.
Able to maintain appropriate employee appearance.
Able to pass ServSafe Food Handler (or similar) food safety written exam.
